Today was not terrible by any means.
It started out with me working on an advent calendar. YES, an advent calendar in March. I was commissioned to make one for a co-worker who saw the calendars that I made for my sister and my cousin. I don’t know why I always forget this, but crafting can really pull me out of a depression. I haven’t crafted anything since Christmas, and I’ve slowly been declining in mood since. After working on today’s project I felt really chipper, which was FANTASTIC because I had to drive an hour and a half to get to Hershey to pick up a client after his Special Olympics cheerleading competition.
The drive was not bad, and I left early because I remember a meer 5 minutes away from Hershey Park Arena was an outlet shopping center. Hellz yes. Outlets for dayz. I did restrain myself. I only went to Coach and Ralph Lauren Polo. I got a fierce red C-embossed bifold wallet from Coach. It was priced at $120 but it was 50% off. A steal! I really wanted a new work tote, but this Coach Factory Outlet was really tiny and only had men’s wallets and belts. A mild devastation, but I did not walk away empty-handed, no sir. Anyway, at the Polo outlet got a pair of pink khaki pants, and a pair of sear sucker pants. They don’t exactly fit. but I’ve been using the elliptical almost every night lately, so fingers crossed come Summer I will look like a boss ass prep. I also got a lime green white stripe mesh polo with an orange pony. Adorable.
Then on the ride home we listened to show-tunes. My client LOVES musicals; specifically “Singin’ In The Rain” and “Meet Me In St. Louis”. The best was when we were listening to We Both Reached for the Gun, and he said “are you kidding?” when Roxie Hart did. Dying of laughter.
So now I’m home and I’m about to get on the elliptical, because I am totally buzzed off of a iced grande non-fat latte that I had when I was shopping.
Peace out, lady trout.
